Connu comme le « Ministre de Tout », C.D. Howe etait l'homme qui a pratiquement produit un Revolution Industrielle en Canada durant la deuxieme guerre mondiale. Notre economie n'etait plus dependent de notre agriculture.. Howe avait cree 28 corporation en temps de guerre qui produisait des armes et munition pour les alliers.
"Canada had the fourth-highest industrial production among the Allies, trailing only the US, USSR,
and Britain. By 1944, Canada had produced over 600 ships for the war
effort, 1,100 aircraft, and over half a million cars and trucks, of
which 31,000 were armored..."
